Health care/Health sciences

Students studying health and social care will have the opportunity to experience working environments first-hand, with employment opportunities in nursing, midwifery, social care, domiciliary care, youth and child services, and biomedicine across public and private sectors.

The qualifications students will gain whilst studying at the school will help develop the skills needed when working with adults and children in health and social care environments.

Students will study core units, including:

  • Human lifespan development
  • Working in health and social care
  • Anatomy and physiology for health and social care

And have the opportunity to study optional courses such as:

  • Biomedical science
  • Nutritional health
  • Physiological disorders and their care.
