Alongside core GCSE qualifications, which will be studied at traditional schools up and down the country, Vision Studio School is able to add so much more to the learning experience.
From industry work placements, to masterclasses, project work and additional enrichment activities, the school has so much to offer students in years 10 and 11.
There are two established pathways for young people to follow, based on the needs of the surrounding areas. Students will choose to study engineering or health and care options as part of their course. A specialism will allow students to gain the specific skills required in each of these industries, putting them ahead of other candidates of school-leaving age.
All students will follow two technical awards (equivalent to one GCSE each) in their chosen specialism:
|Engineering technical qualifications||Health and Social Care technical qualifications|
All students will also complete the following GCSES:
Each student will undertake regular work placements throughout the year, with the opportunity for a block placement at the end of the summer term. Students will also complete the Level 2 European Computer Driving Licence.
Alongside qualifications and work experience, there will be a range of enrichment activities including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, social action projects, trips and visits, as well as enterprise activity.
